Holy freaking heaven...how cute are these??!!11!?  They're from Bento&Co which sells all kinds of awesomeness.  Oh they make me so happy to look at.  If Mark would let me I would buy these and make him take them to work and eat little bento lunches everyday.  LOL!

the save the date

Since I'm getting married soon it seems to be the go-to talking point for everyone that I work with, hang out with, pass in the hallway.  It was really interesting to discover that the idea of having a 'Save the Date' is a relatively new one.  Some of my wonderful 'old enough' friends were telling me that when they got married there was never such a thing.  Huh, who knew? 

Here's my Save the Date...truth be told that the idea for it was not mine...so if it looks familiar to something you've seen on a wedding blog before that's probably why.  But the details are all us.  I had a lot of fun calculating the number of skymiles we've traveled over the 2.5 years.  It's been a long journey and we're almost to the next chapter!

A couple weeks ago my friend who is making my wedding dress and I went to LA to go fabric shopping for the dress.  While we were there I bought spools and spools of pretty ribbon.  I love all the colors!

Congress is one vote away from cutting off all support for public broadcasting, including NPR.  89.3 KPCC is the local radio station that broadcasts NPR as well as providing local coverage the way NPR covers the nation.  "In depth coverage", "No rant, no slant" are two slogans that I think sum up KPCC really well.  We spend money on a lot of things...things we need and things we don't.  Support NPR and KPCC by donating at kpcc.org.
