It was my first time drinking green beer yesterday! I think it makes beer tastier. :) And I've never heard of the saying "Don't get pinched" before - what does it mean? Fill me in, haha.
ooh, green beer...i dunno about that. haha well, i don't know if it's true but answers.com says that it's an american tradition that started in the 1700's. tales said that leprechauns and other fairy tale creatures would pinch you but if you wore green it made you invisible to them. so if you don't wear green on st. patty's day people are supposed to pinch you to remind you of that. so i guess couple that with the color green becoming the traditional color for st. patty's day (was originally blue) with irish immigrants to america and you got a hybrid american tradition. :)
